The product you are asking about, the N32x-RHT, is a family of temperature/humidity controllers and would not be a good choice for controlling a snow melt system. A better option is the N320 family of on/off temperature controllers which is similar to the product you were looking at. These controllers work with an external temperature sensor. For a snow melt system a thermocouple may be the best option. There are several other considerations which will determine if this will work. These include the output requirement, ambient operating range of the controller, mounting location of the controller and sensor. There may be other considerations as well but they would apply to any temperature controller.
