For years, our customers at IOThrifty have come to us with the same need, just described a hundred different ways. They want to know what is happening with their equipment when they are not standing next to it. Sometimes that is a single freezer in the back of a restaurant. Sometimes it is hundreds of tanks spread across a continent. The application changes, but the question does not: how do I monitor this remotely, without it becoming a project I regret starting?
Today I am excited to introduce Dasberry Cloud, the remote sensor monitoring platform we built to finally answer that question for everyone, not just the companies with the biggest budgets. You can see it for yourself at dasberry.ai.
What Dasberry Cloud actually does
Before I get into the why, let me be clear about the what. Dasberry Cloud is a cloud-based IoT monitoring platform that lets you:
- Build real-time dashboards with drag-and-drop gauges, number displays and live charts.
- Log your data continuously so every reading is stored and ready to chart, export or query.
- Set instant alerts with warning and critical thresholds delivered by email and text message.
- Automate reports with scheduled CSV exports sent to your inbox daily, weekly or monthly.
Whether you are doing remote temperature monitoring, remote level monitoring, remote pressure monitoring, remote flow monitoring or remote humidity monitoring, it is the same simple workflow. Connect a device, watch the data, get told when something is wrong.
Why we built it
More and more of our customers are looking for remote monitoring, from the largest industrial deployments down to the smallest one-sensor projects. The strange thing is that the market has always had an answer for the big spenders. If you have a six-figure budget and a team of integrators, you have plenty of options. But if you are a small company, a single facility or a maker with one great idea, there has never been a solution that respects your time and your wallet. We built Dasberry Cloud for that person, because that person is most of the people we talk to every day.
Truly device agnostic, without the headache
The platforms that do exist tend to fall into one of two camps. Either they are locked to specific hardware, or they claim to be open but make adding a device painfully complex. Too often you need to stand up a separate broker service, and then write a custom parser just to make sense of your own data. That is hidden cost on top of hidden cost: another service to pay for, another system to maintain, another thing to break at 2 a.m.
Dasberry Cloud is a genuinely device agnostic MQTT cloud platform. If your device speaks MQTT, Dasberry Cloud listens. There is no separate broker to manage and no parser to hand-write, because our AI-assisted device setup inspects your live data and maps every field for you. You go from unboxing to a working dashboard in minutes, not weeks.
We will never punish you for your data
Here is the one that still bothers me. When we got customers up and running on other services, some of them would accidentally exceed their data limits, and the system would simply stop logging new data. The exact moment your monitoring matters most, it goes dark. And those limits were small and expensive to begin with.
So we did the opposite. Dasberry Cloud uses circular data. We give you a generous amount of storage, and when you reach it we always delete the oldest data first while your newest readings keep flowing in. Your monitoring never stops. You are never punished for being successful enough to collect a lot of data.
Everything included, even text messages
Another pattern we kept running into: a customer would get set up on a similar service and then discover that something basic, like text message alerts, was not included in their plan. Critical features were treated as upsells. That is not how we wanted to do business. Dasberry Cloud has simple, transparent pricing where every plan includes the full platform. SMS and email alerts are included on every plan. Full data logging, dashboards and reporting are included on every plan. You pick a plan based on your scale, not based on which features you are allowed to unlock.
It starts with a genuinely generous free plan that includes the full platform, SMS alerts and all, so you can run real remote monitoring without spending a cent. When you outgrow the free plan, the paid plans stay refreshingly affordable, because we think powerful remote monitoring should be within reach of a one-person shop, not just an enterprise.
Own your devices, do not rent them
There is one more idea I am especially proud of, because as far as I know nobody else is doing it: perpetual device pricing. Alongside our monthly plans, you can buy a device license outright, exactly the way you buy a piece of hardware. You pay once, you own it, and that device stays connected to Dasberry Cloud for life with no recurring subscription. It means you can budget for monitoring as a one-time capital purchase instead of yet another bill that shows up every month forever. Hardware that you buy should not come chained to a subscription, and with perpetual device pricing it does not have to.
Built for the age of AI
We are now living in the age of AI, and we built Dasberry Cloud with that future in mind. APIs are a first-class citizen here, and full API access is included with every plan. That means your own software, your automations and your AI agents can read from and act on your device data directly. Imagine an agent that watches your remote sensor monitoring data around the clock, spots a drift before it becomes a failure, opens a ticket, and adjusts a process automatically. The building blocks that used to take a dedicated engineering team are now available to anyone with a good idea and an API key.
Free for life with the devices you already buy from us
Dasberry Cloud was created by IOThrifty, and it works seamlessly with the connected hardware we sell. To make that connection effortless, every MQTT-enabled device we sell includes a free perpetual Dasberry Cloud license. Free for life. Buy a connected gateway, transmitter, controller, data logger or sensor from us, and you get a device license on the house, with the full platform behind it. You can browse the lineup on our Dasberry connected devices page.
Give it a try
We set out to build the easiest to use IoT platform on the planet, and to make professional remote monitoring something a small company can actually afford and actually enjoy using. I am proud of where it has landed, and I would love for you to put it through its paces. You can start for free at dasberry.ai, connect your first device, and have a live dashboard before your coffee gets cold.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for building alongside us.
