The N480D series of PID temperature controllers was designed for non-experienced novice users combining extreme simplicity in operation with a performance only found in expensive high end controllers.
The N480D is a family of low-cost temperature controllers which can be easily installed and operated. They accept most thermocouples and Pt100 RTD, featuring  relay and pulse output for driving solid state relays.Optionally they can be supplied with a linear 4 to 20 mA output.
Autotune PID function, dual display, full range universal power supply and ramps soak function are standard.
The N480D surpasses old and obsolete analog controllers in performance with the added benefit of ease of operation.

RAMP AND SOAK
The ramp and soak feature allows the process temperature to change gradually from an initial value to a specified final value in a ramp-like behavior. The initial value of the ramp will always be the initial  process temperature and the final value will  be the set point value. The user determines the speed of the ramp in degrees per minute. The time the process is held at the setpoint(soak) is adjustable between 0 and 9999 minutes.  Up to 9 ramp and soak segments may be programmed.  The ramp and soak functionality may also be disabled.

USB INTERFACE
The USB interface is used to configure, monitor or update the controller firmware. For monitoring purposes, the user can use any supervisory software (SCADA) or laboratory software that supports MODBUS RTU communication over a serial communication port. When connected to a computer's USB, the controller is recognized as a conventional serial port (COM x).

QUICKTUNE CONFIGURATION SOFTWARE
QuickTune is a free software tool for the configuration of NOVUS controllers and indicators. With its clean interface, a novice or advanced user can access and modify all device parameters. Designed for easy and quick controller configuration, Quicktune provides diagnosis and monitoring features. More than a software, QuickTune is a tool which can save time and effort in setting up a single or multiple controllers
