The laser sighting tool makes it easy to aim a CT series sensing head precisely at your target. It projects a simple visible laser that marks the center of the measurement spot, so you can see exactly where the sensor is pointed and line it up on the area you want to measure. It is a convenient add-on for any installation where getting the aim right matters.

Alignment in Tight Spaces
The compact CT sensing heads are often chosen for installations that are too cramped for a larger sensor with a built-in laser. In those spots, aiming the head by eye can be a challenge. This tool solves that by indicating the center of the sensor's optical path, so you can confirm and fine-tune alignment even in narrow, awkward locations. It works with CT and CSmicro sensing heads.

Flexible Power and Triggering
The tool can draw power from the sensor electronics box or run on its own batteries, and two AA cells are included to get you started. You can also trigger it externally through the digital output on the electronics box, so the laser comes on only when you need it for sighting.

Safe, Considerate Use
The tool uses a low-power class 2 laser (under 1 mW at about 635 nm). As with any laser, do not point it at the eyes of people or animals, and avoid staring into the beam or its reflections. The laser is meant for sighting and positioning rather than continuous operation: leaving it on permanently shortens the life of the laser diode, and it should not be operated above 50 °C.
