- Rugged IP65 / NEMA 4 Die-Cast Housing for Industrial Environments
- Example Code and Tools Supplied to Speed Up Integration
This interface kit connects your autonomous Xi series infrared camera to an industrial network, letting you transmit live temperature data over standard Ethernet (TCP/IP) and the widely used Modbus TCP protocol. Instead of relying on a directly attached PC, the camera can stream measurements straight into PLCs, controllers, SCADA systems, and data-acquisition platforms - making it easy to fold thermal monitoring into automated processes for real-time control and quality assurance. The same kit also works with CSVision pyrometers.
Ethernet and Modbus TCP Connectivity
The module communicates over 10/100 Base-T Ethernet at up to 100 Mbit/s, using either a standard RJ45 connector or a rugged 4-pin M12 (D-coded) industrial connector. It supports both raw TCP/IP for direct data streaming and Modbus TCP - the de facto standard for industrial device communication - so it drops into existing automation environments with minimal effort. IP addressing can be static or assigned by DHCP, and multiple devices can run on the same network as long as each has its own IP address within the same subnet.
Built for the Plant Floor
Housed in a rugged die-cast zinc enclosure rated IP65 / NEMA 4, the interface withstands dust, vibration, and shock in demanding industrial settings. It operates from 0 to 85 °C on a 5-30 VDC supply and draws less than 0.7 W, so it adds negligible load to your power budget.
Fast Integration
To get you running quickly, the kit ships with ready-made integration resources: a fully developed C# example script, an Excel sheet with macros for TCP/IP communication, and a Modbus communication tool for the Modbus TCP protocol. Default network settings - static IP 192.168.0.1 and Modbus port 502 - are pre-configured out of the box.
