- Continuous Busbar Temperature Monitoring and Data Collection
- Wireless Temperature Sensors for Easy Installation
- Compatibility with SCADA Systems, BMS and IoT Gateways
- Passive Sensors: No Battery Required
- Operates Effectively in Most Industrial Power Distribution Systems and Medium Voltage Substations
- Scalable for Large-Distribution Networks
The TG system is designed for continuous temperature monitoring of critical electrical connections across power distribution systems, including switchgear, MCCs, busway, and medium voltage substations. By detecting abnormal temperature rises early, it helps prevent equipment failure, reduce downtime, and support predictive maintenance strategies. The system enables real-time visibility into asset conditions, allowing operators to maintain reliability across power distribution networks.
Continuous Temperature Monitoring
Provides ongoing temperature measurement and data collection for busbars and other critical components, helping identify overheating conditions before they lead to failures. Thermal issues are often an early indicator of degradation in these settings.
Wireless Sensor Deployment
Uses wireless temperature sensors that are simple to install without modifying existing infrastructure. Sensors can be mounted directly on monitored components, reducing installation time and eliminating the need for complex wiring.
Seamless System Integration
Designed to integrate with SCADA systems, BMS platforms, and IoT gateways, allowing temperature data to be centralized and monitored remotely. Communication is supported through standard industrial interfaces including Modbus-RTU over RS485.
Passive Sensor Technology
Sensors operate without batteries, reducing maintenance requirements and improving long-term reliability. This makes the system well suited for installations in hard-to-access or safety-critical environments.
What’s Included?
The system is composed of three primary components: the reader, antennas, and passive wireless temperature sensors.
- Reader – DIN rail mounted device that manages sensor communication and provides data output via RS485 (Modbus RTU) or USB for setup and diagnostics.
- Antennas – Up to four antenna inputs allow localized sensor reading within electrical equipment such as switchgear and MCCs.
- Passive Sensors – Battery-free temperature sensors mounted at critical connection points to continuously monitor for abnormal heat rise.
During installation it's important to understand the distance requirements of each component. Each TG Reader can accept 48 Sensors and 4 Antennas. Antennas come with a 3 meter cable and must be within that distance from the reader. Each sensor should be within 2 meters from an Antenna for reliable data collection.
