The Xi 80 is a compact spot finder infrared camera designed for precise non-contact temperature measurement in industrial applications. With an 80 x 80 pixel thermal detector, 50 Hz frame rate, and temperature ranges from -20°C to 900°C, it provides real-time thermographic monitoring in a small, rugged package.
The Xi 80 supports autonomous operation with automatic spot finder functionality, making it well suited for OEM integration and process monitoring applications where a permanent PC connection is not required. The camera can output measurement values directly through a 0/4-20 mA analog output, and its internal process interface can be configured for analog input, digital input, analog output, alarms, frame sync, fail-safe status, and other process functions.
Compact Industrial Design
The Xi 80 features a stainless steel housing with an IP67 / NEMA 4 environmental rating and a compact 36 mm x 90 mm body with an M30x1 thread. It is supplied with a mounting bracket, mounting nut, USB cable, process interface cable with terminal block, and the PIX Connect software package.
Motorized Focus and Optics
The motorized focus can be adjusted through PIX Connect software, allowing the thermal image to be optimized for the application. Multiple optics are available, including 12°, 30°, 55°, and 80° fields of view, with an optical resolution up to 190:1 using the 12° optic.
Industrial Connectivity
The Xi 80 supports USB 2.0, Ethernet, PoE, and RS485 communication. Ethernet cable lengths can be extended up to 100 m, and RS485 cable lengths can be extended up to 1000 m depending on the installation. For expanded process integration, an optional stackable industrial process interface provides up to 3 analog outputs, 3 alarm relay outputs, 3 inputs, and fail-safe relay functionality per interface, with up to 3 interfaces stackable for up to 9 analog or alarm outputs.
Software and Accessories
The included PIX Connect software provides thermal image display, measurement areas, hot and cold spot analysis, alarm configuration, recording, snapshots, and process communication tools. Optional accessories include an air purge for dusty or contaminated environments, a water-cooled housing for higher ambient temperature installations, a protective shutter, and an outdoor protective housing.
